We approach a variety of topics from a distinctly black centered perspective. We are looking for writing that is conscious and allows for the accelerated growth of the African Diaspora in the Pensacola, FL area. We also want to push ourselves to publish slightly edgy pieces. While difficult to define, this content should push towards an ideology of a bright and prosperous future while providing practical application of this core ideology for black Pensacola. If it makes you a bit nervous to publish a story only considering what is best for Black Pensacola, then you’re probably on the right track.
Finally, we want you to be free. You are at liberty on our site to say the things you think need to be said. Our core principles and 6 knowledge pillars should provide a guiding light. We may not all agree with one another, but that is a sign of healthy dialogue. Remember, we have many tribes but 1 nation. We simply want this to be a place where Black Pensacola can express themselves without always explaining their viewpoints to a dominant culture group.
We do not have all of this sorted out quite yet; there is no blueprint for what we are doing. We will figure it out as we go. You are a huge part of what is happening in this space. In fact, we bet the bag on us and we’re excited to embark on this journey together.
