Mary C. Williams co-founded this small civil law firm in 2006 after more than a decade of public service working for the U.S. Department of Justice, the NAACP, and the District of Columbia Executive Office of the Mayor.
Williams launched a satellite practice in Pensacola, Florida in 2018 that includes Voting rights, Election Protection and First Amendment issues.
For the past 15 years, Ms. Williams has litigated challenges to Wills in D.C. Superior Court and served on D.C. Guardianship Panel. Her practice also includes estate planning: Power of Attorney and Health Care Directives; Wills, Probate Administration; Guardianship and Conservatorship; Elder Law and Consumer Protection.
An award-winning journalist, Ms. Williams is an experienced civil litigator licensed to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court, which is the highest Court in the land; the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia; the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida; and all other lower courts in DC and Florida. She is a member in good standing in DC and Florida Bar organizations.
Williams currently serves as the at-large Northwest representative for Florida’s ACLU Board of Directors. She is vice chair of the ACLU Nominating Committee and a member of the Legal Panel.
Williams also serves as Executive Director for the nonprofit Eyes on the Prize Consulting, LLC, which provides a variety of legal advocacy, organizing assistance and community outreach training to other civil rights organizations.
