IS HOSTING SOULS TO THE POLLS
Pensacola, Milton, and Fort Walton Beach, FL, October 29, 2022, The Real Women Radio Foundation will host Souls to the Polls at the Greater True Vine Baptist Church, 130 N Pace Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32505. At the same time, we will also be hosting this event at the Citizens Moving Forward, 6151 Dogwood Drive, Milton, Fl 32570. These events will take place from 11 AM – 2:00 PM.
Then on October 30, 2022, we will host this same event at the Santa Rosa Mall, 300 Mary Esther Blvd, Mary Esther, FL 32569.These events are designed specifically to encourage the black community to get out and vote.
This is the 5th Annual event that is being held on The Gulf Coast. The first four were held across the Gulf Coast. Real Women Radio Foundation works with local organizations to make voting community-driven and purpose-driven. Together with local partners, #BETHECHANGEVOTE is creating a new culture of civic engagement rooted in community and purpose.
The story Real Women Radio. From 2018 to now, Real Women Radio Foundation has worked with local partners to coordinate a series of community events in low-engagement communities adjacent to polling sites, and our analysis showed an improvement in participation. 2022 will bring our largest scale-up, with the help of our local partners, we will be aiming for between 20 and 50 #BETHECHANGEVOTE parties with a purpose around Northwest Florida! During the Primary and General elections, we will also prioritize polling locations where we expect there to be a significant drop-off in participation. We will hold events both during before Early Voting and on Election Day.
While encouraging people to vote within the black community, The Real Women Radio Foundation will also offer available free spaces for business owners to come out and share their businesses with the community. Any Black Small Business can come and showcase their products or services at these events.
Our goal is to encourage voting while helping black-owned small businesses make a profit and grow.
